Unique Malvasia from Rioja’s Obarenes Mountains

La Pequenita Blanco Macerado – Unique Malvasia from Rioja’s Obarenes Mountains
Crafted entirely from 100% Malvasia grapes, this intriguing wine from Rioja blurs the line between white and orange wine styles. Its aromatic profile features rich fruit notes of quince, pear, and apple, enhanced by herbal fennel undertones.
The grapes are handpicked from young vineyards at 550 meters altitude in the foothills of the Obarenes Mountains. Alonso and Pedrajo, established in 2011 by two winemaking families, cultivate their vineyards with great care using mostly manual work and minimal intervention in the winery.
The wine is known for its vibrant acidity balanced by a rounded mouthfeel, with flavors recalling citrus, orchard fruits, and buttery pastries. The subtle tannins come from extended skin contact during maceration in clay jars, which also give the wine its deeper color.
A great pairing choice with fish in white sauces, soft cheeses, or a variety of vegetarian dishes.
Enjoy now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant.
