White Argentine Catena Zapata Catena Alta Chardonnay 2022 wine

White Argentine Catena Zapata Catena Alta Chardonnay 2022 wine

The Alta Chardonnay from the Catena family in Argentina is known for its unique taste, crafted with care in the high mountains near the Andes. Grapes are handpicked from two vineyards – Adrianna at 1450 meters and Domingo at 1120 meters. Adrianna’s calcareous soils and cool nights give the wine a special mineral quality.

After a gentle process and fermentation with wild yeast, the wine ages in French oak barrels for 14 months. The result is a sophisticated Chardonnay with a rich body, smooth texture, tropical fruit notes, and a crisp finish. Enjoy it with roast chicken, pan-fried fish, or creamy cheeses.

Drink now or let it age up to eight years for a deeper flavor.

Red Argentine Bodega Chacra Cincuenta y Cinco Pinot Noir 2022 wine

Red Argentine Bodega Chacra Cincuenta y Cinco Pinot Noir 2022 wine

You don’t have to decant this wine, but if you do, do it about 30 minutes before serving. Bodega Chacra is located in northern Patagonia, near the Rio Negro region, where Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes thrive. Cincuenta y Cinco is known for its tension, with a strong scent of blueberry, strawberry, and forest floor, plus hints of oak and iodine.

Founded by Piero Incisa Della Rocchetta, Bodega Chacra is a departure from his family’s Italian roots. This 100% Pinot Noir comes from old vines on pebbly riverbed soil in northern Patagonia’s desert-like climate. The flavors include blueberry, red cherry, raspberry, and a touch of tobacco smoke, with earthy and mineral undertones.

Aged for 11 months in concrete tanks and French oak barrels, the finish is long and refreshing. This wine pairs well with roast chicken, tuna steak, or mushroom risotto.
