Pian Delle Vigne – Antinori’s Iconic Estate

Brunello di Montalcino from Pian Delle Vigne – Antinori’s Iconic Estate
The Antinori family, with a noble history stretching back 26 generations since 1385, acquired the Pian Delle Vigne estate in 1995. Situated six kilometres southwest of Montalcino, this 460-acre property focuses on expressing the Sangiovese grape’s character through ageing in large oak casks.
The vineyards, mostly facing southwest at 130 metres above sea level, benefit from a climate that allows grapes to fully ripen while preserving their fresh aromatics. Once harvested, the grapes undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
The young wine then ages for two years in large oak casks ranging from 30 to 80 hectolitres. Following bottling, additional cellar ageing refines the wine further, resulting in a complex and elegant Brunello bursting with ripe red plum, cherry, Mediterranean herbs, cedar, and subtle spice notes.
This wine pairs beautifully with hearty red meats and game dishes.

Tenuta Tignanello – Traditional Chianti Classico by Antinori
With winemaking roots reaching back to the 14th century, the Antinori family created the renowned Tignanello Super Tuscan. Their estate is located in the Chianti Classico region between the Greve and Pesa valleys.
This wine is primarily made from indigenous Sangiovese grapes, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. After fermentation, it is aged for a year in a blend of French and Hungarian oak barrels, followed by another year of bottle ageing.
The bouquet reveals inviting aromas of red cherries, plums, and gentle spices from oak maturation. On the palate, it offers soft tannins and a rich red fruit profile balanced by bright acidity, finishing with notes of cinnamon, cloves, and earthy undertones.
It is an excellent accompaniment to tomato-based pasta or game dishes such as venison.

Antoine Lienhardt Bourgogne Rouge – Concentrated Elegance from Burgundy
Domaine Antoine Lienhardt, a family winery spanning four generations, is located in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits. Since 2019, the estate has embraced organic certification. The Pinot Noir grapes come from two plots near Comblanchien, growing on clay-limestone soils.
After vinification, the wine matures in concrete vats and old barrels, encouraging full aromatic expression. The resulting Bourgogne Rouge is a concentrated yet elegant wine with notes of red fruits, kirsch, and leather.
On the palate, it is fresh, juicy, and soft, supported by well-balanced acidity and ripe tannins. The finish is long and fruity, making it suitable to enjoy now or cellar for several years. Pairs well with roast guinea fowl.

Côte de Nuits-Villages Les Essards – Mature and Complex Pinot Noir
Antoine Lienhardt, who took over the family estate in 2011 alongside his sister Heloise, cultivates Pinot Noir from the Les Essards plot in Comblanchien. These vines, planted in the 1960s, root deeply into clay, stones, and limestone soils.
Following manual harvest and vinification, the wine ages for seven months in used barrels, resulting in a mature and complex profile with fragrant aromas of red fruits, delicate sweet spices, and floral hints.
The palate is well-structured, fresh, and juicy, with fine tannins and a long, fruity finish. It pairs wonderfully with dishes such as rabbit stew or grilled duck breast.
