Upon their passing, they left the estate to charity. The vineyard has been certified organic since 2021 and has calcareous schist soils, with about half of the land planted with Syrah and predominantly Rhone varieties. Their acclaimed wine, Fracture Syrah, which is highly regarded as one of the best Syrahs globally, is produced from high-density vineyards and aged in 228-liter barriques.
The name reflects the limestone-rich soil that causes fractures. This wine displays a deep, rich color with purple hues and an intense aromatic profile featuring plum, black cherry, blackberry, coffee, black olives, and cloves. It is bold and luscious on the palate, with a full body, silky tannins, and vibrant acidity.

Situated around 300 meters above sea level, the vineyards benefit from ideal soil and climate conditions, featuring alluvial soils rich in gravel and sand. The Nobile di Montepulciano from Podere Boscarelli is made primarily from Sangiovese grapes, as per the region’s regulations, with small amounts of local Colorino, Canaiolo, and Mammolo varieties added. Following hand-picking and natural yeast fermentation, the wine is matured in Allier and Slavonian oak barrels for 18 to 24 months before further aging in the bottle.
This wine displays a bright ruby color and offers an intense fruity aroma with floral notes of violet and hints of bergamot. It is rich and concentrated on the palate, with a good body and youthful yet well-integrated tannins, culminating in a long finish with nuances of red fruits. Currently overseen by the third generation of the family, the company possesses approximately 22 hectares of vineyards situated to the northeast of Montepulciano at an elevation of around 300 meters above sea level.
Il Nocio is a Nobile di Montepulciano crafted from Sangiovese grapes handpicked from their Vigna del Nocio vineyard. Following a maceration period lasting approximately 10 days, the fermentation process occurs in oak vats using native yeasts. The resulting wine is then aged for 18-24 months in Slavonian barrels, culminating in additional resting time in the bottle for a year.
This wine showcases a vibrant and deep hue with ruby tones accompanied by hints of garnet. Its aroma profile is intricate and opulent, featuring notes of blueberry, plum, undergrowth, violets, dried flowers, cocoa, sweet spices, and aromatic herbs. Situated close to the historic village of Montepulciano, the Boscarelli winery was created by Egidio Corradi when he bought two parcels of land in the region in the 1960s. Egidio’s wine venture was then continued by his daughter Paola and her spouse, who together established the Podere Boscarelli, constructing the winery and expanding the vineyards.
Today, Luca and Nicolo De Ferrari, the third generation of the family, manage the business and the 22 hectares of vineyards. The wine is a blend primarily made of Prugnolo Gentile, the local Sangiovese clone.

The Boirons acquired Bosquet des Papes in 1860, and the estate is now managed by the sixth generation of the family. As one of the oldest winemaking families in the Chateauneuf du Pape region, the Boirons specialize in producing traditional-style wines from their 40 vineyard plots spread throughout the area. Their vines, averaging 50 years old, contribute to the creation of rich, well-structured wines that can mature beautifully for 8-10 years or more.
This impressive Chateauneuf du Pape is mainly made from Grenache vines aged between 60 and 80 years, planted in Gardioles, with a touch of Cinsault. After fermentation in temperature-controlled concrete tanks for approximately 35 days, the wine is aged in demi-muids and large oak foudres for 12-18 months, depending on the vintage. This extended aging process adds refinement and grace to the luxurious wine, which showcases flavors of crushed cassis, blackberry, plum, and dark cherry.
