Volcanic Roots and Coastal Whites: Four Elegant Wines for Your Collection

Pietradolce Etna Rosso
Crafted from 100% Nerello Mascalese, this Etna Rosso comes from bush vines planted at 800 metres on volcanic slopes in northeastern Sicily. Pietradolce, established in 2005, balances traditional winemaking with modern methods to express Etna’s distinctive character.
The wine offers fresh aromas of red fruits, dried herbs and spice, followed by a palate of bright acidity, silky tannins and ripe cherry. A short oak aging of 3 months refines the wine before bottling. Ideal with tomato-based pasta or hunter’s chicken, and can be cellared up to 7 years.

COS Pithos Rosso
This unique Sicilian blend of Frappato and Nero d’Avola is vinified in traditional terracotta amphorae, inspired by ancient Georgian winemaking. COS winery, founded in 1980 by three friends, introduced this method to preserve the wine’s pure character.
The Pithos Rosso offers floral aromas and red berry notes, with earthy undertones of mushroom and dried herbs. Its vibrant acidity and unmasked fruit expression make it a compelling and natural wine experience. Drink now or cellar for up to 7 years.

Kozlovic Malvasia Istriana
Grown on Croatia’s Istrian peninsula, this Malvasia shines with freshness and coastal elegance. Run by the Kozlovic family since 1904, the winery blends tradition with modernity to showcase local varietals.
Expect aromas of lemon, pear and green apple, with flavors of peach, apricot and salty minerality. Its crisp acidity makes it perfect for seafood or creamy pasta dishes. Best served chilled and enjoyed young, within 2 years.

COS Cerasuolo di Vittoria
Produced using biodynamic principles, this Sicilian red blends 60% Nero d’Avola aged in oak and 40% Frappato matured in cement tanks. COS winery believes in allowing the terroir to speak through minimal intervention.
The wine delivers aromas of dried violets, red fruits, and earthy notes, with flavors of tobacco, forest berries and sweet spice. Its balance of structure and freshness allows cellaring up to 6 years or pairing now with rich Mediterranean cuisine.
